Dr Gretel Davidson is a dual-qualified Anaesthetist and Specialist Pain Medicine Physician. She studied medicine at the University of Sydney, graduating with Honours, and completed training in Anaesthesia at the Prince of Wales/Sydney Children's Hospital. Subspecialty training in Pain Medicine was completed at the Michael J Cousins Pain Management and Research Centre, Royal North Shore Hospital, and at the Children's Hospital Westmead.
Dr Davidson has worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist since 2005 at Prince of Wales/Sydney Childrens Hospitals, and also at Childrens Hospital Westmead. She has served as Head of the Acute Pain Service at Sydney Children's Hospital.
Dr Davidson has a keen interest in teaching, and is an Instructor in Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS). She has also travelled to the Philippines yearly since 2014 to participate in volunteer surgical missions with charity Smile for ME.
As a Pain Medicine Specialist, her particular interest is management of complex pain in children, adolescents and young adults.
